Columbus is a city built on bold ideas and fueled by relentless optimism. As a community, we tend to dream big. We let nothing stop us from turning today's dreams into better tomorrows. Right now, it's more important than ever to look forward. By spreading hope and happiness, we can outlast the spread of COVID-19. As friends, neighbors and family, let's live to love. Live to give back. And show the world all that's possible when you Live Forward.

Columbus has reopened following the COVID-19 crisis and is committed to doing so the right way to stop the spread of the virus. Many Columbus businesses have signed the Live Forward Pledge signaling an agreement to follow federal, state and local health and safety guidelines for proper reopening following the COVID-19 pandemic. Columbus is also the second destination in the country to coordinate a citywide effort in pursuit of the GBAC (Global Biorisk Advisory Council) STAR Accreditation, the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation for facilities.

Travel research from Longwoods International indicates that travelers are 61% more likely to travel to a destination where masks are required. Ohio has been at the forefront of best practices during COVID-19 and a citywide mask mandate has been implemented in Columbus, so rest assured when you and your group are ready to travel again, Columbus will be a safe option.

As seen on National Geographic’s “Secrets of the Zoo,” the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is home to more than 9,000 animals representing 650 species from around the globe. Watch a polar bear swim above your head, hand-feed a giraffe, say "G-Day" to the koalas, ponder the giant pachyderms and be amazed by the manatees. Adventure Cove, the Zoo’s newest exhibit opening in 2020, is home to California sea lions and harbor seals and features an amphitheater for 300 with 10 shows a day. Guests can go on an underwater experience through a 60-ft long tunnel and 360-degree marine mammal viewing.
